Plagiarism Check

Plagiarism Policy

The Jurnal Pemberdayaan Pariwisata (JPP) is committed to maintaining academic integrity, originality, and ethical standards in scholarly publishing. All submitted manuscripts must represent the authors' original work, must not have been previously published, and must be free from plagiarism.

Plagiarism Screening

All manuscripts submitted to the Jurnal Pemberdayaan Pariwisata (JPP) will undergo a similarity screening process using Turnitin before proceeding to the peer-review stage.

The journal establishes a maximum similarity index of 25%, as determined by Turnitin.

Similarity Index Requirements

  1. Similarity Index ≤ 25%: Manuscripts that meet the similarity threshold may proceed to the next stage of the editorial process, provided that no violations of publication ethics are identified.

  2. Similarity Index > 25%: Manuscripts exceeding the maximum similarity threshold will be returned to the corresponding author for revision. Authors are required to reduce textual similarities through appropriate paraphrasing, proper citation, and accurate referencing.

  3. Resubmission Requirements: Authors must ensure that revised manuscripts achieve a similarity index of 25% or below before resubmitting them to the Editorial Team.

  4. Non-Compliance: Manuscripts that continue to exceed the 25% similarity threshold after revision may be rejected at the discretion of the Editorial Team.

Authors' Responsibilities

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality and academic integrity of their submitted manuscripts. Any ideas, data, statements, findings, or research outcomes derived from other sources must be properly acknowledged through appropriate citations and references in accordance with accepted academic writing standards.

The Turnitin similarity report serves as a screening tool to support the assessment of manuscript originality. A similarity percentage does not automatically indicate plagiarism. The Editorial Team will evaluate the sources, context, and nature of identified similarities before determining whether a violation of publication ethics has occurred.

The Jurnal Pemberdayaan Pariwisata (JPP) reserves the right to request revisions, reject manuscripts, or take appropriate editorial action when plagiarism or other violations of publication ethics are identified.

Editorial Commitment

The Editorial Team of the Jurnal Pemberdayaan Pariwisata (JPP) is dedicated to promoting responsible scholarly communication and ensuring that all published articles comply with internationally recognized principles of publication ethics.

By submitting a manuscript to the journal, authors acknowledge and agree to comply with this Plagiarism Policy.
