Pendampingan Kelompok Sadar Wisata Girirejo untuk Pengembangan dan Optimalisasi Potensi Desa Wisata

Abstract

Girirejo Village is one of the tourismvillage with category developing according to data from the Yogyakarta Special Region Bappeda. Even though its management is still not optimal and can even be said to be unsustainable, Girirejo Village has great potential, especially religious tourism and cultural tourism. Two of the potentials are the tombs of the Imogiri Kings and the craft of keris wrangka which has been recognized by the World Keris Encyclopedia. Even though there is demand for tourism, religious and cultural tourism activities are still of special interest. The aim of this community accompaniment is to provide assistance to managers and the community in the Girirejo tourist village regarding the development of the tourist village through recommendations and a series of hospitality-related training for the community in subsequent activities so that the Girirejo tourist village can be sustainable. Community accompaniment is carried out through Sharing Sessions, discussions and problem solving as well as solutions for sustainable development of tourism village. The result of this community accompanimet is the recommendations for tour packages to be further used as tourism promotion through digital media. Furthermore, trainings related to homestays, hospitality and language are scheduled as a series of assistance in managing the Girirejo tourism village so that its implementation can be sustainable and move up to the advanced or independent tourism village category.
