Penyuluhan Pengemasan Produk bagi Pelaku UMKM di Desa Cibeber, Purwakarta, Jawa Barat
Abstract
This activity was motivated by the low quality of product packaging among SMEs in Cibeber Village, such as the use of simple and unattractive packaging, as well as the absence of brand identity and product labels that meet modern marketing standards. This condition has resulted in the low competitiveness of SME products in broader markets. The activity aimed to empower the community, particularly SME owners, through counseling and training on product packaging in order to improve product quality, selling value, and business marketing opportunities. The implementation method employed a participatory and educational approach through field observations, lectures, discussions, simple packaging design practices, and evaluations using pre-tests and post-tests. The activity was attended by 28 SME owners in Cibeber Village. The results showed an improvement in participants’ knowledge and skills regarding the functions of packaging, product design, branding, and product marketing strategies. In addition, participants became more motivated to improve the appearance of their products to make them more attractive and competitive. This activity is expected to support the development of SMEs and sustainably improve the village community’s economy.
