Pengelolaan Ekowisata Berbasis Masyarakat untuk Mencapai SDGs Desa: Penyuluhan di Desa Wisata Cibuntu, Kuningan
Abstract
Community-based ecotourism (CBE) has been widely recognized as an effective strategy for aligning environmental conservation objectives with the improvement of local community welfare. This Community Service Program (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat/PkM) was conducted by Trisakti Institute of Tourism in Cibuntu Tourism Village, Kuningan Regency, West Java, from 9–12 December 2025. The program aimed to provide educational outreach on the management of tourism destinations based on cultural tourism, ecotourism, and hospitality, while strengthening community understanding of sustainable tourism principles in line with the Village Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The implementation methods included educational workshops and interactive discussions involving the Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) and local residents. The results indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding of community-based ecotourism concepts, the importance of preserving local cultural identity, and homestay service standards. This program contributed to the achievement of SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 15 (Life on Land). The synergy between higher education institutions and the community of Cibuntu Village is expected to serve as a collaborative model for the sustainable development of tourism villages in Indonesia.
